| ABOUT APHG SUBJECT AREA PAGES These pages are intended as a comprehensive one stop resource
for Parliamentarians and their staff, covering some of the
key subject areas within health policy.
Compiled in partnership with the leading bodies in each
area, including Government departments and agencies, charities
and professional associations, they aim to provide MPs with
the most up to date and essential information available.
Each page has a number of sections including:
* 'The basics', answering frequently asked questions
* 'Parliamentary Action', with information on the legislation,
questions, debates and motions concerning that subject area
* 'Latest developments' in that subject |
external to Parliament, provided
and updated by our partner agencies
* 'Key data and reports', from the government or independent
bodies, with a short précis of their contents
* 'Further useful links' to other useful sites
We feel the pages are a useful means of providing detailed
information to complement the APHGs regular Parliamentary
briefings, seminars and conferences on the key areas within
health policy.
Suggested uses of the pages include assessing the state
of play within your own constituencies, answering constituency
correspondance, keeping up to date with the full range of
health matters both within and outside Westminster, accessing
the key reports and contacting the key players, and drafting
press releases, parliamentary motions and parliamentary questions. |
