Royal College of Midwives

The Royal College of Midwives represents the interests of midwives in all four UK countries individually and collectively.  The College aims to promote excellence, innovation and leadership in the care of childbearing women, the newborn and their families, nationally and internationally. 

 The Royal College of Midwive’s main duties include:

  •  Learning, research and practice development, including the provision of training and professional development courses
  • Producing a range of publications and policy papers, RCM Midwives Magazine and RCM Evidence-Based Midwifery Journal
  • Providing practising midwives with employment relations and professional expertise
