Adult social care is back on the agenda again

Adult social care is back on the agenda again

3rd March 2016

Last week on the 23rd February 2016, Ray James, President of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services spoke at an All-Party Parliamentary Health Group and Care England event: Caring well for our older population: the challenge of delivering high-quality, integrated and compassionate health and social care.

Today, Ray James is speaking once again on this subject at the Nuffield Trust's Health Policy Summit, alongside the Health Secretary, the Rt. Hon. Jeremy Hunt, Dr Samantha Barrell, Chief Executive, Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust and Jan Sensier, Chief Executive of Healthwatch Staffordshire in the afternoon session: The Government's vision for the NHS and social care system.

Providing high quality adult social care is one of the key challenges that the nation faces today. Our joint APHG event with Care England, Chaired by Baroness Masham of Ilton, tackled these concerns with a variety of speakers from the sector.
