APHG comment: Welcome

On behalf of the APHG, I am delighted to welcome you to the group’s new website.

The APHG website was conceived at the group’s inception as a health policy information portal for parliamentarians, their staff, policy makers, NHS and charitable organisations and members of the APHG and was designed to be complementary to our parliamentary events programme.

Following the general election in May, the site has undergone extensive redevelopment and expansion to update our existing facilities and incorporate a range of new services.

Collectively, these draw together essential information on parliamentary activity on health issues, the key individuals and organisations responsible for the creation and scrutiny of health policy and regulation of healthcare, and how health policy developments are reported across the media.

In addition, the APHG constituency site, complied and presented by dr. foster, provides all parliamentarians with comprehensive, comparative constituency based healthcare data.

It is with great pleasure that I invite you to explore the site and I do hope that you find its facilities to be valuable.
