Public Accounts Committee Inquiry
– The NHS IT Programme
Ian Carruthers OBE, acting NHS Chief Executive, and
Richard Granger, Chief Executive of Connecting for Health, are among those
giving evidence today (Monday 26th June) to the Public Accounts Select
Committee inquiry into the National Programme for IT in the NHS. On Wednesday 28th June Mr Granger is speaking at an

Health questions asked in Parliament
The Secretary of State for Health answered health
questions in parliament on Tuesday 20th June. Areas of debate included

New Director General for social care
David Behan is to join the Department of Health as the new Director
General for Social Care. This is a new Board level appointment to lead and
champion improvements in social care. He is currently Chief Inspector at the
